2 Cold Scorpio has pleaded guilty to reduced charges stemming from a 2024 arrest, avoiding a trial that had been set to begin on Tuesday, August 4. The former WWE, WCW, and ECW star admitted guilt to second degree assault and armed criminal action as part of a negotiated plea deal that downgraded the original first degree assault charge, while the armed criminal action count remained in place.

The case dates back to June 2024, when Scorpio was arrested following an incident at a gas station where he worked as a security guard. Authorities alleged that he stabbed a man during an altercation at the location.

With the plea now entered, the legal proceedings move straight to sentencing. Scorpio is due back in court on October 9, when a judge will decide his punishment. He won the ECW World Television Championship on four separate occasions, held the ECW World Tag Team Championship, and also had a run as WCW World Tag Team Champion. His contributions to the hardcore wrestling scene were recognized in 2014 when he was inducted into the Hardcore Hall of Fame.

The legal saga has loomed over Scorpio for more than two years now, a stark contrast to the highlight-reel image longtime fans remember from his ECW and WCW heyday.
