NJPW’s Drilla Moloney Signs Multi-Date Deal With PRODUCE

Drilla Moloney is expanding his independent schedule with a new multi-appearance agreement with PRODUCE Wrestling, the promotion confirmed on Thursday, July 30. The deal locks the New Japan Pro-Wrestling star in for at least five bookings before the end of 2026, kicking off with his promotional debut at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City on September 13. From there, Moloney is set to appear on October 12, October 22, and again on either December 27 or 28.

PRODUCE announced the signing by highlighting Moloney’s current championship pedigree, noting he is the reigning PROGRESS Tag Team Champion alongside Man Like DeReiss as one half of 0121, and a two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. Moloney has been a fixture on the NJPW roster since 2023 while continuing to work select independent dates across the United Kingdom and the United States, making him one of the busier junior heavyweight-style talents on the scene.

The announcement comes just ahead of PRODUCE’s Volume 3: Azucar event, which features a stacked lineup including Violence Is Forever against Cowboy Way, Minoru Suzuki taking on Hechicero, Josh Barnett versus The Butcher, and a Royal Rumble-style Ranbo match stocked with names like Fred Rosser, Jonathan Gresham, Rich Swann, Joey Janela, and Steve Maclin. Moloney is not currently listed for that specific show, with his debut instead earmarked for September.

For PRODUCE, locking down a multi-date deal with a titleholder like Moloney is a notable coup as the promotion continues building out a roster that blends indie stars, lucha legends, and international talent. The strategy mirrors what several boutique American promotions have leaned into over the past few years — offering wrestlers tied to larger companies like NJPW, AEW, or WWE a platform to work outside their main commitments without requiring exclusivity. For Moloney specifically, it’s another example of how junior heavyweight and tag-team talent can maintain a steady presence on the U.S. independent circuit even while carrying gold in multiple companies overseas.

What remains to be seen is who Moloney will actually face across his four confirmed dates, and whether PRODUCE plans to build toward a specific program or simply use him as a rotating attraction. Given his tag success with DeReiss, there’s also a question of whether 0121 could eventually defend the PROGRESS titles on a PRODUCE card, though nothing along those lines has been announced. For now, fans in the New York and New Jersey area will get their first look at Moloney under the PRODUCE banner when the promotion runs Jersey City on September 13.
