Doc Gallows Spotted Backstage At AEW Tapings In Nashville

Doc Gallows was backstage at AEW’s Dynamite and Collision tapings in Nashville on Wednesday, July 22, fueling speculation about a possible reunion with the promotion. There’s no indication yet that his presence was tied to a signing or an on-screen angle — he was simply there, with no further details surfacing about the nature of his visit.

Gallows has been a free agent since WWE released him and longtime tag partner Karl Anderson back in February. Once their 90-day non-compete clauses expired, The Good Brothers popped up in New Japan Pro-Wrestling at Resurgence in May, teaming with The Young Bucks in an eight-man tag against Bullet Club War Dogs. They’ve also kept busy in MLW, challenging for the promotion’s World Tag Team Championship on the June 6 edition of Fusion.

An AEW return wouldn’t be new ground for Gallows. He and Anderson appeared on AEW programming back in 2021 during the promotion’s crossover partnership with Impact Wrestling, before both men eventually made their way back to WWE in 2022. Given their ties to the Bullet Club lineage and their continued presence in NJPW — a promotion AEW maintains a close working relationship with — the idea of The Good Brothers popping up on Dynamite or Collision isn’t exactly far-fetched.

Gallows has also been talking up AEW recently on his Talk’n Shop podcast, at one point suggesting that Sheamus jumping to the promotion would generate a massive reaction from fans and floating the idea of pairing the former WWE Champion with MJF. Whether or not that was just podcast chatter, it shows Gallows keeping a close eye on AEW’s roster and storylines at a time when he and Anderson remain without a full-time home.

The Nashville tapings themselves were eventful on their own. Kevin Knight successfully defended the TNT Championship against Darby Allin, while the trio of Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley closed out the show with a six-man tag win that spilled into a chaotic post-match brawl, setting the stage for Sunday’s Redemption pay-per-view.

With The Good Brothers still floating between NJPW and MLW without a long-term commitment, a backstage appearance like this one is worth watching. AEW has never been shy about bringing in familiar faces from outside its core roster for one-off moments or surprise reunions, and Gallows and Anderson’s history with The Young Bucks and the Bullet Club brand gives any potential appearance built-in storyline value. For now, though, this remains just a sighting — nothing more has been confirmed about what, if anything, comes next.
