Triple H Calls Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar a Money Match

Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi are set to collide inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam, and new footage from the third season of WWE Unreal shows just how much stock company leadership is putting in the matchup.

The Netflix documentary series, which pulls back the curtain on WWE’s creative process, captured Chief Content Officer Triple H making the case for why the pairing has the ingredients to be a genuine box-office attraction. “Oba Femi versus Brock Lesnar is money. If we played our cards correctly, we could have something white hot,” Triple H said. “There’s not a lot of real estate on WrestleMania, but Oba is the most legitimate bad motherf‑‑ker that has walked through the door in a while. They’re already going holy sh‑t him against Brock Lesnar.”

Paul Heyman, who has managed some of WWE’s biggest stars, chimed in with his own praise, comparing Femi’s demeanor to that of Roman Reigns. “He reminds me so much of Roman, because when you speak to him, he’s very measured. He processes quickly, and he understands his youth is an asset,” Heyman said. Triple H backed that up, noting Femi’s poise despite being just 28 years old, calling him “a grown, mature adult.”

The two also discussed how fans might respond to the eventual showdown, with Triple H suggesting the spectacle alone could carry the match regardless of who the crowd is rooting for. “That’s one of those ones where I almost wonder, do they care?” he said. “He’s going to be the guy that comes in, looks like he can beat Brock. I don’t know that it matters who they’re cheering for. I don’t think it makes a difference. That could be a big marquee fresh match.”

The comments reinforce the sense that WWE sees Femi as a foundational piece of its future, with the Lesnar match at SummerSlam standing as the largest platform of his career so far. If the buildup lives up to the hype Triple H and Heyman are putting behind it, Femi could walk out of Hell in a Cell with a very different profile than he walked in with.
