Chik Tormenta Departs WWE/AAA, Now a Free Agent

Chik Tormenta is no longer with WWE’s AAA brand and is officially working as a free agent, the veteran luchadora confirmed during the RIOT La Riña 4 event.

Tormenta announced that her contract with WWE/AAA has ended and that she is now available for independent bookings. Her last appearance under the AAA banner came in May 2026, when she teamed with Faby Apache and Lady Shani for a six-woman tag match against Las Tóxicas — Flammer, La Hiedra, and Maravilla.

Tormenta had been a mainstay of AAA since 2018 and stayed on with the promotion through its transition into WWE’s hands following the company’s acquisition in April 2025. During her time there, she captured the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship, one of the highlights of a run that established her as one of AAA’s dependable veteran presences.

With nearly two decades in the wrestling business and years spent as part of AAA’s roster through both its independent era and its move under the WWE umbrella, Tormenta now turns the page to a new chapter as a free agent. It remains to be seen where she lands next, but her departure adds her name to the growing list of AAA talent whose futures have shifted in the wake of the WWE takeover.

No word yet on any specific bookings for Tormenta going forward, but as a free agent she’s now open to offers from promotions across the independent scene and beyond.
