AAA On FOX Preview: Rey Mysterio Set To Open Card

AAA on FOX Latin America returns on Saturday, July 18, with the promotion heading to Arena Potosí in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, for its latest weekly broadcast.

The show is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. ET in Mexico, translating to a 10 p.m. ET start for viewers in the United States. Fans south of the border can catch the action live on FOX, while the U.S. audience will be able to stream the broadcast on YouTube.

Headlining the announced lineup is Rey Mysterio, who is set to open the show with what’s being billed as a major announcement. Details on exactly what Mysterio plans to reveal haven’t been disclosed, but his presence alone signals AAA is treating this broadcast as a significant one, given how frequently the legendary luchador has been used to punctuate big storylines throughout his career.

AAA on FOX has become a key weekly outlet for the promotion to build toward its bigger events, mixing lucha libre staples with cross-promotional appearances from stars like Mysterio, who has long straddled the line between AAA and WWE programming. Whatever news breaks out of San Luis Potosi could have ripple effects on AAA’s upcoming schedule, especially with the promotion’s packed calendar of major shows always looming on the horizon.

More details on the full card and any additional matches were not immediately available, but fans tuning in on FOX or YouTube can expect Mysterio’s opening segment to set the tone for the rest of the broadcast. As always, AAA’s weekly TV product remains one of the promotion’s most consistent ways of keeping its audience engaged between marquee events, and Saturday’s show looks to continue that trend with a notable name kicking things off.
