CMLL and New Japan Pro Wrestling are teaming up again later this year, this time for a brand-new joint event called Lucha Kingdom.
The announcement came during Fantastica Mania 2026, which took place at Arena Mexico and featured NJPW talent appearing alongside CMLL stars. A video package aired during the show revealed that Lucha Kingdom is scheduled for Monday, November 16, with a 5 p.m. start time at the iconic Arena Mexico.
Details on the card or which wrestlers will be involved have not yet been announced, but the event represents another chapter in the long-running working relationship between the two promotions. Fantastica Mania itself has been a cornerstone of that partnership for years, traditionally running in January and drawing NJPW’s roster to Mexico for a series of cross-promotional matches. Adding a November date to the calendar signals that both companies are looking to expand and formalize their collaboration beyond that annual tradition.
Arena Mexico is one of the most storied wrestling venues in the world, regularly drawing thousands of fans for CMLL’s weekly programming and special events. A joint show of this nature — carrying its own distinct branding in Lucha Kingdom — suggests both organizations see real promotional value in building something beyond the established Fantastica Mania framework.
With several months still to go before November 16, fans can expect card announcements and further details to roll out as the date draws closer.
