Mick Foley Confirms WWE Legends Merchandise Deal Has Ended, Pivots to AEW with New Merch on the Way

Mick Foley is turning the page. The WWE Hall of Famer announced on Thursday, July 2, that his long-standing WWE Legends licensing agreement has officially concluded, and that his next chapter will be centered around All Elite Wrestling.

Foley broke the news in a video posted to Facebook, using the moment to express genuine gratitude toward WWE’s merchandising and marketing teams. “The message for WWE, and specifically their merchandise and marketing people, the message is thank you. And I mean that sincerely,” Foley said in the video.

The hardcore legend reflected on a merchandise run that far exceeded even his own expectations. He recalled arriving in WWE in 1996 after eleven years in the wrestling business, thrilled just to receive his first action figure — fully expecting it to be his only one. Three decades later, the royalties kept coming. “Here it is 2026, and honestly, a couple of days ago, I just received my largest quarterly royalties statement in probably 10 years,” Foley noted.

Despite the licensing deal coming to a close, Foley made clear that his affection for WWE and its fans hasn’t dimmed. He said he has no issue signing WWE memorabilia going forward and remains proud of everything he accomplished there. “I have no problem signing WWE memorabilia. I look forward to it. I’m proud of everything I did there, but it’s time for a new chapter in my career and in my life,” he said.

That new chapter leads straight to AEW. Foley confirmed that brand-new AEW merchandise is already in the pipeline and spoke enthusiastically about his role with the promotion going forward. “I’m really looking forward to this adventure with AEW, and I’m really looking forward to doing everything I can possibly do to make AEW as great as it can possibly be,” he stated. He also teased additional projects and merchandise through other companies, promising more announcements in the near future.

For a figure as synonymous with a single company as Foley has been with WWE, the shift to AEW represents a meaningful transition — one he’s clearly approaching with considerable excitement.
