Steven Spielberg Expressed Interest in Attending an AEW Show After Working With Brian Cage on New Film

Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg has a surprising connection to All Elite Wrestling — and it sounds like he may not be done with the pro wrestling world just yet.

While collaborating on Spielberg’s latest film, “Disclosure Day,” the iconic director told AEW star Brian Cage that he’d love to attend an AEW show at some point in the future. The film, which released this month, opens with a wrestling scene and features Cage alongside fellow AEW talent Lance Archer, giving the project an unmistakable professional wrestling flavor right from the jump.

It’s a notable crossover moment for AEW, whose talent has increasingly found mainstream visibility beyond the squared circle. Having two of the promotion’s recognizable names appear in a major theatrical release directed by one of cinema’s most celebrated filmmakers is a significant cultural stamp. Spielberg’s body of work speaks for itself — the man behind “Jaws,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Schindler’s List,” and countless other landmarks expressing genuine curiosity about attending a live AEW event is the kind of endorsement money can’t buy.

Whether Spielberg actually makes good on that interest and shows up at an AEW taping or pay-per-view remains to be seen, but the rapport clearly exists. For Cage and Archer, appearing in a Spielberg film is a career highlight that goes well beyond anything that could happen inside the ring — and if it eventually draws one of Hollywood’s biggest names into an AEW arena, so much the better.
