Stratton recently appeared in a Topps-produced video in which she opened wrestling card packs priced between $5 and $800. As she worked through the packs, she answered questions about her career and attempted to identify the wrestlers pictured on the cards. It was during that segment that Stratton apparently came up short when she encountered a card featuring Slaughter, one of the most recognizable figures in WWE history.

The moment didn’t sit well with the former WWE Champion and legendary drill sergeant character. Slaughter responded to the incident with criticism aimed squarely at Stratton’s overall knowledge of the wrestling business — a critique that carries some weight given his decades-long association with the company.

For Stratton, the clip arrives at a high point in her career. She currently holds the WWE Women’s United States Championship, one of the marquee titles on the SmackDown brand, and has established herself as one of the more prominent women on the roster. Still, moments like these can draw attention to the generational divide in wrestling, where newer talent may not always have the same depth of historical awareness as longtime fans and veterans expect.
