Tony Khan Offers Optimistic Update on Willow Nightingale’s Shoulder Injury Recovery

AEW President Tony Khan has offered an encouraging update on Willow Nightingale’s return to in-ring competition, though a specific comeback date has yet to be confirmed.

Nightingale has been sidelined with a shoulder injury that proved serious enough to force her to vacate championship gold. Despite being away from competition, she has remained a presence on the road with the company during her recovery. Khan’s latest comments signal that progress is being made, even if AEW isn’t ready to put a firm date on her return.

Nightingale had been one of AEW’s most over performers prior to the injury, carrying real momentum and title recognition heading into 2024. Losing a champion mid-reign to injury is always a difficult situation for any promotion to navigate, but the fact that Khan is publicly speaking with optimism about her recovery suggests the end of her absence may not be far off.

For now, fans will have to wait for a more concrete announcement, but the trajectory appears to be pointing in the right direction for Nightingale’s eventual return to the ring.
