ROH Global Wars Cincinnati Part Two Results: Mark Davis Retains AEW National Title, Deonna Purrazzo and Syuri in Action

Ring of Honor returned to Cincinnati on June 25 for the second installment of Global Wars, broadcasting live on HonorClub from the Andrew J Brady Music Center.

In the night’s most prominent title match, AEW National Champion Mark Davis successfully defended his championship against Ace Austin, keeping the gold around his waist heading out of the event. Davis has been a dominant presence since capturing the title, and Austin — a TNA mainstay known for his high-flying, technically precise style — made a credible challenger in the cross-promotional matchup that Global Wars is built around.

The team of Harley Cameron and Mina Shirakawa also picked up a victory on the card. Cameron has been a polarizing and entertaining presence in ROH, while Shirakawa has been one of the more buzzworthy names in women’s wrestling internationally, making their pairing a notable combination.

The headline-grabbing women’s competition extended further with both Deonna Purrazzo and Syuri appearing on the show. Purrazzo remains one of the most decorated women’s wrestlers in North American independent and ROH circles, and Syuri brings considerable credibility from her work in Japan, making her appearances on the Global Wars platform a natural fit for the event’s cross-promotional theme.

Global Wars has long served as ROH’s vehicle for showcasing international talent alongside its regular roster, and the Cincinnati edition appears to have delivered on that premise across both nights of tapings.
