AEW’s Championship Picture Comes Into Focus Ahead of Forbidden Door, Redemption, and All In London

With three major events on the horizon — Forbidden Door 2026, Redemption at the end of July, and All In London 2026 at Wembley Stadium — the AEW title scene is shifting rapidly, and nearly every belt has a compelling story developing around it.

At the top of the card, MJF retained the AEW World Championship over Kenny Omega at Dynasty 2026, and Omega has been searching for a road back ever since. His next stop is a match against Zack Sabre Jr. at Forbidden Door 2026, a result that could go a long way toward determining whether ‘The Cleaner’ earns another shot at MJF heading into Wembley.

The International Championship has a fresh story after Konosuke Takeshita dethroned Kazuchika Okada at Double Or Nothing 2026 — only for Kyle Fletcher to make a surprise return and immediately attack Takeshita on behalf of The Don Callis Family. That sets up what looks like an inevitable collision between the two. In the tag division, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are the reigning World Tag Team Champions, with The Young Bucks continuing to rebuild after dropping the belts to FTR at Revolution 2026.

On the women’s side, Mercedes Mone returned on the June 3 edition of Dynamite as a wild card in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, defeating Alex Windsor and then Hazuki to punch her ticket to the Owen Hart Cup Finals at Forbidden Door 2026. Meanwhile, the TBS Championship picture will get clarity quickly: on July 1, AEW runs a Survival of the Fittest match on Dynamite to crown a new TBS Champion, with Hikaru Shida — a three-time AEW Women’s World Champion — having already qualified by defeating Zayda Steel on the June 13 edition of Collision. Kris Statlander and Persephone have also advanced to the match.

Elsewhere, Kevin Knight retained the TNT Championship over Speedball Mike Bailey on June 3, with Knight having turned heel after attacking Darby Allin at Double Or Nothing and joining The Don Callis Family. With Redemption taking place in Montreal — Bailey’s hometown — a rematch between the two feels like a natural booking target.

The next few months will be defining for AEW’s roster top to bottom, and the road to All In London is already producing fireworks across every title division.
