Enzo Amore Opens Up About Big Cass Bond, Addresses Reunion Speculation

Enzo Amore isn’t making any booking decisions, but he’s not shy about how he feels about his former tag team partner Big Cass.

Appearing on Fourth Rope Wrestling’s show with host Emilio Sparks, Amore was asked about the possibility of reuniting with Cass — who currently goes by Big Bill in AEW — and kept his answer characteristically brief on the logistics: “Not the booker,” he said with a laugh. But when the conversation shifted to the personal side of their relationship, Amore was considerably more expansive.

“F**k yeah, he’s my best buddy. I mean we play three fantasy football leagues together. He’s my brother. He’s my Hawk, I’m his Animal,” Amore said, invoking the legendary Road Warriors tag team as a frame for their bond.

Amore also credited Cass with being a key figure in helping him navigate the pro wrestling world when he was just starting out in WWE. “Big Cass saved my life a million times,” he said. “Because when you’re green and you don’t even know what the word mark is, and you don’t know what the word green means, and you don’t know what the word kayfabe is… If you’re me and you break into WWE, you think you just do it through Tough Enough. I had no idea how the f**k you become a pro wrestler.”

Fourth Rope Wrestling is the promotion co-founded by Buffalo-based rapper Westside Gunn and Smoke DZA, and Amore has made multiple appearances for the company.

The reunion chatter comes with some real-world fuel behind it. Amore reportedly visited the WWE Performance Center in Orlando in May, with Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer noting a return to the NXT brand is in the works. Meanwhile, Big Bill’s AEW contract is said to be expiring soon, which has naturally stoked speculation about the two eventually landing on the same roster again.

Both men departed WWE in 2018. Cass eventually resurfaced in TNA in 2021 before signing with AEW the following year. Whether their paths cross professionally again remains to be seen, but at least off-camera, the chemistry clearly hasn’t gone anywhere.
