Tommy Dreamer Reflects on TNA Departure After a Decade Behind the Scenes: ‘I Hope Everyone Realizes How Much It’s Gonna Change’

Tommy Dreamer is speaking candidly about his exit from TNA Wrestling, where he spent roughly a decade working in creative and behind-the-scenes roles before being informed his time with the company was over.

Appearing on Busted Open, Dreamer opened up about what his tenure meant to him and what he believes his departure signals for the promotion going forward. In his own words, he described his mission during his time there: “I tried building a culture at TNA.” He went on to add a pointed observation about what lies ahead, saying, “I hope everyone realizes how much it’s gonna change.”

The comments carry weight given just how long Dreamer was embedded within the organization. Ten years in a creative and backstage capacity is a significant run for anyone in professional wrestling, and Dreamer’s fingerprints were on a substantial stretch of TNA’s modern history. His departure, by his own account, was not a voluntary one — he was told he would no longer be part of the company.

That framing, combined with his remarks about culture and change, paints a picture of someone who invested deeply in the product and is now watching from the outside as TNA heads in a new direction. Whether that direction ultimately benefits the promotion remains to be seen, but Dreamer’s candid words suggest he has genuine concerns — and genuine pride — about what he leaves behind.
