Axiom Says Representing Spain on Home Soil Makes Him ‘Perform Way Better’ in the Ring

For Axiom, wrestling in front of a Spanish crowd isn’t just another stop on the road — it’s a source of genuine motivation that he says elevates his entire performance.

During WWE’s recent European tour, Axiom got the opportunity to compete in his home country of Spain, an experience he opened up about afterward. The Spanish star noted that carrying the flag for his home nation gives him an extra edge, saying the responsibility of being a representative of Spain makes him “perform way better” in the ring.

The moment came on the May 29th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, where Axiom faced off against The Miz on Spanish soil — and made the most of the occasion with a victory. Wrestling in front of a crowd that views you as their own is something few performers get to experience regularly on WWE’s main roster, and Axiom clearly embraces that pressure rather than shying away from it.

Axiom has been steadily building his profile on SmackDown, and moments like these — where personal pride intersects with on-screen success — tend to resonate with both talent and audiences alike. A win over a veteran like The Miz in front of a home crowd is exactly the kind of memory that can define a career chapter.

Whether WWE continues to incorporate Spain into future European tour stops remains to be seen, but if they do, Axiom will almost certainly be near the top of the list to represent his country once again.
