Money In The Bank 2026 Could Rewrite Multiple WWE Records

WWE Money in the Bank is set for October 10 in New Orleans, and while most of the card has come together, the event is shaping up to be a potential record-breaker on several fronts.

Je’von Evans, set to make his first appearance in the men’s Ladder match, could become the youngest Money in the Bank winner in history. Born on April 29, 2004, Evans will be 22 when the show takes place, edging out Austin Theory, who was 24 when he won the briefcase in 2022.

On the women’s side, Roxanne Perez enters as a popular pick to win the case at 24 years old — just five days older than Theory was in 2022. A victory wouldn’t give her the overall youngest-winner record, but it would make her the youngest woman ever to win the Money in the Bank Ladder match, surpassing Tiffany Stratton, who was 25 when she won in 2024.

Then there’s Lola Vice, who qualified for the women’s match by defeating Kelani Jordan and Raquel Rodriguez on the September 14 episode of Raw in Mexico City before officially signing with the red brand this week. By the time Money in the Bank rolls around, Vice will have been a main roster star for only about three weeks — a turnaround that would be nearly impossible to top if she walks out with the briefcase.

On the flip side of the youth movement, CM Punk and Finn Balor are both working to qualify for the men’s match, with a qualifying bout against Gunther scheduled for Friday’s SmackDown. Money in the Bank has typically been a young star’s showcase, a proving ground for future world champions rather than established veterans — Kane remains the outlier, having become the oldest Mr. Money in the Bank at 43 back in 2010. Should either Punk or Balor qualify and win, they’d claim that record for themselves.

Punk in particular has a shot at an even bigger piece of history. He became the first two-time Money in the Bank winner after capturing the briefcase at WrestleMania 24 and again at WrestleMania 25 in 2009. Seth Rollins has since matched that feat, making the two men the only recognized two-time winners (Carmella technically cashed in twice in 2017, though WWE credits her with just one win, and while Edge and The Miz each held the briefcase twice, both times it came via defeating the reigning holder rather than winning the Ladder match itself). If Punk qualifies and wins in New Orleans, he’d become the sole three-time winner in Money in the Bank history.

Taken together, these storylines give this year’s show an unusually layered stake beyond just who cashes in and when. Whether it’s a teenager-turned-rookie chasing a record, a former NXT standout barely settled into the main roster, or a veteran looking to cement his already unmatched legacy, New Orleans could produce more than one milestone. With qualifiers still shaking out on SmackDown, the final complement of names chasing history won’t be locked in until fight week itself.
