WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has again addressed the WWE Universe during SmackDown’s live broadcast from Portland, Oregon.
The appearance marks the second in a week for Triple H after he delivered a passionate talk on Monday’s Raw. Following a hugely succesful WrestleMania, Triple H went on to thank everyone involved in creating the show and promised that WWE wasn’t going anywhere after the news of WWE’s sale to Endeavor had broken earlier in the day.
The news of a tremendous weekend for the company appears to have been slightly overshadowed after a very lacklustre edition of Raw and reports of Vince McMahon’s return to the creative process. Fan reaction to the move has largely negative, with a large social media campaign gaining momentum during the week with the hashtag ‘FireVinceMcMahon’ trending at various periods.
Tonight’s address on SmackDown followed a similar format to that on Monday, with The Game again making reference to a massive weekend for the company. He went on to again thank all the crew and technical staff responsible for bringing WrestleMania together. He also addressed the various records the company has broken across the weekend including merchandise, viewership and attendance records.
Triple H acknowledged the future of the company, confirming the WWE Draft will take place in a few weeks, stating this years draft would ‘change the game’ with every superstar on the roster being eligible for the draft.
