Mickie James is down with a broken rib but that won’t stop her from showing up at IMPACT Wrestling Rebellion next month.
Mickie James was booked to defend her IMPACT Knockouts World Championship against Jordynne Grace at Sacrifice this week, but suffered an injury in the week leading up to the show. The match was called off and IMPACT aired a sitdown interview featuring Mickie James and Director of Authority Santino Marella at Sacrifice.
Speaking to Gia Miller, Mickie said she suffered a broken rib that forced her to pull out of the match at the last minute. The champion said she was upset because she couldn’t defend her title against Jordynne as scheduled. Santino Marella chimed in by saying that Jordynne Grace will still get her title shot, but it’ll happen at Rebellion.
Mickie said she won’t be able to defend her title at Multiverse United either. The winner of the match at MU will face Jordynne for the Knockouts title at Rebellion. Mickie said she’ll show up to the event one way or the other, promising to relinquish her title if she doesn’t heal by the time.
