WWE have announced more matches for the upcoming Backlash Premium Live Event in Puerto Rico. The show, which will be the first WWE event to be held in Puerto Rico since 2005’s New Year’s Revolution.
On Friday’s broadcast of SmackDown, several additional matches were added to the card for the May 6 event.
SmackDown Women’s Champion will defend her title in a match with Zelina Vega following Vega making a request for a match to WWE official Adam Pearce earlier during the broadcast.
In a match that has seemingly everyone surprised, it was announced Seth “Freakin” Rollins would take on Omos. There has been no interaction between either superstar on WWE television, with Rollins not being featured at all since the April 9 edition of Raw.
It was also announced that Austin Theory will defend his United States Championship in a triple threat match with Bronson Reed and Bobby Lashley.
It had previously been revealed that Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle would take on Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline while Cody Rhodes would take on Brock Lesnar.
