AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida recently spoke with Digital Spy’s Stephanie Chase on a number of topics including how AEW EVP Kenny Omega knows how good Joshi Wrestling is and how he helped to show the world exactly how good it really is.
Shida said, “I think he worked especially for Joshi because he wrestled in Japan, and he knows how Joshi is good. I always say that Japanese Joshi wrestling is the best in the world, and he helped so much to show that to the world. Also, he can speak Japanese. So he helped so much [with] language, too.”
Shida also spoke about pro wrestling legend Dustin Rhodes and how he has greatly helped the AEW female wrestlers.
“Dustin, he’s always nice and cheers me up. Of course, he trained female wrestlers and still helps so much.”
