PWInsider.com reports that the Santos Escobar heel turn was something that was always bound to happen.
The original plan was for WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and Escobar to begin their feud with one another immediately after the events that took place this past week on Friday Night SmackDown, but as previously reported by PWExclusive.com, the WWE Hall of Famer recently underwent knee surgery and will be out of action for quite some time.
It was also mentioned on the report that the plan is still for Mysterio to face Escobar when he makes his return and Zelina Vega received a ton of praise backstage for her reaction to the Escobar turn.
