Alberto El Patron is returning to AAA.
Recently, AAA announced a series of events, including the Lucha Libre World Cup, for their 2023 calendar. The tournament will mark the return of Alberto El Patron (formerly known as Alberto Del Rio) to AAA.
El Patron will team up with AAA Mega Champion Hijo del Vikingo and Psycho Clown as one-third of Team Mexico. Lucha Libre World Cup will kick off on March 19, 2023, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
The former AAA Mega Champion will also participate in a tournament called “Guerra de Rivalidades.” Check out the bracket below:

The tournament will run as part of the TripleMania events AAA announced during their press conference. The first TripleMania event will take place on April 16, 2023 on Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The second will take place in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico on June 17, 2023, while the final TripleMania Show is set for August 12, 2023, in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.
